Chapter One: The horror of OOC part 1- Parental!RoyEd
"Ow!" Ed exclaimed. "I stubbed my toe!"
"Oh NO!" Roy shouted. "The end of the world!"
Tears started leaking from Ed's bright gold orbs. "The PAIN!" he moaned. "Roy, I've always thought of you as a father, so COMFORT ME!"
"It's okay," Roy said soothingly, pulling Ed into a hug and patting his back, somewhat awkwardly. Ed clutched Roy's shirt and started sobbing.
"My life sucks!" he said through the tears.
"Don't worry! You have ME!" Roy said. "Now let's get you to the hospital before this horrible wound gets infected!"
"Right!"
The End!
Sorry about the exclamation point abuse!
As much as I love parental!RoyEd...It's starting to suck.
Everyone portrays Ed as some kind of baby who overreacts about the smallest things and then turns to Roy for comfort.
Stories like that make me wonder if the author ever even read/watched the series.
I'm sorry to turn all serious all of a sudden because it makes this story less fun, but it's true. Parental!RoyEd NEEDS improvement. It's making me sad to read it...Oh, woe is me! Roy, comfort me! *sobs like Ed*
So basically, if you're going to write Parental!RoyEd, DO A GOOD JOB. Think to yourself: 'If Ed was reading this, would he punch me in the face for making him act like a big baby in front of Roy?'
If the answer is yes, stop writing, because getting punched by Ed would hurt. If the answer is I don't know, stop writing, because if you don't know Ed well enough to answer a simple question like that, it would be pretty hard to keep him in character. If the answer is no, congrats! Send me the final story because I ADORE well written parental shit!
Bye for now!

PS: In case you were wondering, Ed made a full recovery from his stubbed-toe injury. All is well!
